Trainwreck

Sigh. Stuff like this certainly isn't helping to make the case for a monorail as a mass transit device here, but for cryin' out loud we need something.

The problem with Seattle's monorail is that it was built to impress tourists, not to move people around. And it never was necessary.

It was grandstanding on the part of Seattle's PtBs, and continues to be grandstanding on the part of Seattle's PtB's. The sooner it is dismantled and replaced by buslines and/or light rail the better for Seattle.
